The Karrinyup Community Men’s Shed will receive $15,000 towards a range of sustainability measures including a water bore, solar panels and electrical work under a re-elected McGowan Government.
The funding will also include $1500 for an instant hot water system for tea and coffee.
The facility, which is located in Balcatta, is an inclusive environment for men to meet, create projects, learn, teach, and support each other, and enjoy the support of the working environment.
Men’s sheds are important community health initiatives that allow members to develop, redevelop or learn new skills which will enhance their self-esteem, and in turn provide a positive impact upon their lives, their family and the community.
